Spirit River RCMP investigate after an injured man was found inside someone’s home

Spirit River RCMP are looking for the public’s help to piece together an incident after some residents found a man with multiple injuries inside their home.

On Sunday, September 28, Mounties received a call about a bloodied and “out-of-it” man walking south along Highway 2 away from a dark vehicle with hazard lights on. When police arrived, they could not locate the individual.

Later in the evening, Mounties were called about an injured man inside someone’s home near Rycroft. EMS took the man to a hospital in critical condition.

Mounties do believe the man from the highway and the home are the same person. They ask anyone with information or video surveillance from the stretch of Highway 2 to contact the detachment at 780-864-3525.
