St. Joe’s football player earns recognition from NFL Canada

A member of the St. Joe’s Celtics football team has earned some recognition from NFL Canada.

Nolan Edey earned a Way to Play award for a play made against the Peace Wapiti Academy Titans.

He stripped the ball from the ball carrier near his own goal line and ran it back more than 100 yards for a touchdown.

Edey’s play was shown on the TSN website and on CTV during an NFL broadcast.

Edey also earned $3000 for his school to buy equipment. The money will be used for field equipment like bags and tackle wheels.
