Valleyview RCMP arrest four people in drug and weapons seizure

Valleyview RCMP say four people are facing charges after a seizure of drugs and weapons on Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.

Mounties say they found 70 grams of cocaine, $7,500 cash, a shotgun, three pistols, ammunition, and drug trafficking paraphernalia during the search conducted on Monday, October 6.

Eighteen-year-old Hayden Halcrow of High Prairie, 31-year-old Jamie Lee Pickard of Edmonton, 29-year-old Jeneva Chowace of Valleyview, and a 16-year-old youth are all facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and failure to comply with a court order.

Chowace is also facing 15 other counts.

The three adults will be in Edmonton court on October 9. The youth will appear in Edmonton court on October 8.
