County of Grande Prairie hosting wildfire ground ignition training

The County of Grande Prairie hosting fire departments from across Alberta this week as they work on a training program for ground ignition operations.

The County is working alongside Alberta Wildfire, and the Provincial Wildland Urban Interface teams to develop this program and guide future hazard reduction operations through tactical, controlled burns.
