Grande Prairie RCMP have arrested three individuals in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation.

On Oct. 7, the RCMP Crime Reduction Unit tracked a stolen vehicle to a campground and observed a male locking the vehicle and approaching a stolen trailer.

A subsequent search of the trailer led to the seizure of approximately 300 grams of cocaine, a loaded handgun, a stolen SKS rifle and ammunition.

Cole Sazwan (25), a resident of Beaverlodge, Ethan Dow (24) and Annika Anderson (21), both residents of Grande Prairie, were charged with:

  • Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Firearm obtained by commission of an offence
  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 (x2).

Sazwan will appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Grande Prairie Friday, while Dow and Anderson will appear in the same court Nov. 16.
