Mounties arrest suspect in Loon Lake structure fire

A 37-year-old Trout Lake First Nation woman was in Slave Lake court on Wednesday (Oct. 15) after being charged with starting a fire that burned a building down to the foundation in Loon Lake.

Mounties in Red Earth Creek say it happened on Sunday, October 12, when they were told that the community’s Public Works building was on fire.

The building was completely destroyed, resulting in thousands of dollars’ worth of damage.

Reba Noskiye has been charged with five offences:

  • Causing damage to structure by fire
  • Break and enter
  • Resist police (x2)
  • Mischief over $5,000

There is no further information available as the case is now before the courts.
