Stolen vehicle and property recovered after Red Earth Creek B&E

Oct 16, 2025 | 6:00 AM

Red Earth Creek RCMP recovered a vehicle stolen out of Slave Lake carrying thousands of dollars worth of stolen property on Saturday, Oct. 11.

Once on the scene, Mounties located a vehicle matching the description of a suspect vehicle. The driver then fled from police down a lease road.

The driver eventually fled on foot, abandoning two female passengers, before being tracked down by police dog services.

All three suspects were then taken into custody. Police learned the vehicle was stolen and carrying “several thousand dollars of stolen property from the break and enter.”

Thirty-seven-year-old Conway Laboucan of Atikameg, 33-year-old Miranda Gladue and 28-year-old Kayla Cardinal, both residents of Peace River, are facing break and enter and possession of stolen property over 5,000 dollars charges.

Laboucan also had four additional charges laid:

  • Failure to stop
  • Committing a crime while masked
  • Mischief under $5000
  • Obstruct a police officer

Gladue and Cardinal were released on conditions, while Laboucan was remanded. All three are to be in court on October 15 in Slave Lake.
