Oct 21, 2025 | 5:28 AM

Unofficial results are beginning to pour in from across the peace.

The City of Grande Prairie is still adding up ballots, but counts have revealed Jackie Clayton will serve another term as Mayor.

The City says she has taken the post with an unofficial 3,491 votes.

With the eight council vacancies, unofficial results show six incumbents taking back their positions: Dylan Bressey, Chris Thiessen, Kevin O’Toole, Wade Pilat, Mike O’Connor and Grant Berg.

Gladys Blackmore is the only one not listed among all seven incumbents seeking re-election, according to the unofficial results; the group is rounded out by newcomers Lenoard Auger and Jena Flach.

With over 9,000 ballots unofficially counted in the mayoral election, voter turnout sits at roughly 13 per cent, up from five percent in the 2022 by-election.

A full breakdown was shared on their website.

In the County of Grande Prairie, unofficial results say four newcomers and three incumbents have been elected.

They are reporting a voter turnout of 3,208 residents, approximately 13.32 per cent of the population.

Advanced voting saw a turnout of 949 ballots, up from 857 in 2021.

Unofficial results have also been shared for Saddle Hills County, MD of Greenview, Town of Sexsmith and Clear Hills County.

The Peace Wapiti Public School Division has released unofficial election results for its school trustee election.

In Ward 7, Stefanie Clarke currently holds an over 200-vote lead; all other ward trustee positions were acclaimed.

Ballots are still being counted for trustee positions in PWPSD and GPCSD, with updates expected later today (Tuesday, Oct. 21).
