New mayor, four new councillors in Peace River

Peace River will have a new mayor after Monday’s municipal election.

Former councillor Shelly Shannon defeated incumbent mayor Elaine Manzer by over 650 votes.

Two incumbent councillors were also defeated.

Two incumbents and four newcomers have been elected to council.

The vote totals, as posted on the Town of Peace River website, are as follows:
