Harvest virtually finished in the Peace
The newest crop report from the province says harvest is virtually complete in the Peace Country.
The report dated October 14 says 99.7 per cent of the major crops in the Peace had been combined by that date.
Spring wheat, dry peas and barley are all done, with 1.5 per cent of the canola and less than one per cent of the oats left to do.
The five-year average for that same date is 94.8 per cent completed, with the 10-year average 80.8 per cent.
