ALERT arrests two for fentanyl and firearms in Goodfare

The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team says they’ve apprehended two individuals at a rural home in the County of Grande Prairie on 16 charges.

Stemming back from May, 2025 investigation, ALERT was made aware of drug trafficking through community concerns in the Goodfare area; 60km northwest of the City of Grande Prairie.

With help from Beaverlodge Mounties and the Grande Prairie Police Service, ALERT executed a search warrant on the rural home on October 21 and seized the following:

  • One firearm
  • Two prohibited magazines
  • Various ammunition
  • 188 grams of fentanyl
  • 10 grams of methamphetamine
  • Contraband tobacco products
  • Approximately $15,000 in stolen property and suspected proceeds of crime

Fourty-one-year-old Codi McCreesh and 41-year-old Jamie Lee Ozechowski were arrested.

The pair were jointly charged for production of fentanyl and carfentanil, possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime, and numerous firearms-related offences.

Both remain in police custody awaiting their court date on October 27.
