Oct 23, 2025 | 2:39 PM

A new attraction will begin being offered at the Eastlink Centre starting Friday, Oct. 24.

The City of Grande Prairie is kicking off Dive-in Movie Night at the Eastlink Centre Aquatics area’s 50-metre pool with Hotel Transylvania.

Guests can enjoy a movie from the comfort of a pool floatie or in the bleachers; residents can bring a floatie from home or rent one for $4.

Snacks are also permitted, but only in the bleachers.

The city says during the show, lifeguards will be on duty and caretakers of children over the age of 8, “are welcome to use the fitness centre, sauna, or steam rooms during the show.”

They add that space is limited, so pre-registration is encouraged, which can be online or by calling 311.

Director of Recreation for the City of Grande Prairie says “we’re thrilled to offer this series through the fall and winter as a new and creative way for families and friends to enjoy the facility,” with the next Dive-in Movie Night scheduled for Nov. 28.

A third installment is planned for December, with more details to be released at a later date.

Tickets for both water admission and spectator seating is available for $8. More information and a link to pre-register can be found on the City’s website.
