Hockey, Wolves and a ski hill AGM on this weekend

Storm

The Storm will host Bonnyville for two games this weekend.

Game times will be 7 p.m. on Friday and 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Grande Prairie is fourth in the North Division with nine points, one up on the Pontiacs.

The Storm are coming off three road losses last weekend in Fort McMurray.

NWJHL

There are three games in the Northwest Junior Hockey Friday night.

The County Wheat Kings will be in Beaverlodge, Fairview travels to Sexsmith and La Crete will be in Peace River.

Games on Saturday will include La Crete in Beaverlodge, Dawson Creek in Fairview, Sexsmith in Peace River and Fort St. John at the Wheat Kings.

All those games start at 8 p.m.

Sunday, La Crete in Sexsmith and Dawson Creek in Fort St. John both start at 2 p.m. local time.

NPHL

There is one game in the North Peace Hockey League Friday, Spirit River will be in Falher.

On Saturday, High Prairie is in Grande Prairie, Valleyview in Dawson Creek, and Manning visits Fort St. John.

All games start at 8:30 p.m.

Wolves

The Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves will host the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Cross-Country Running Championships Saturday in Muskoseepi Park.

The women’s race will start at noon. The men’s race at 1 p.m.

Thirteen teams will take part.

Spectators are welcome. Admission is free.

Wolves volleyball will host Keyano College at 6 and 8 p.m. Friday, 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday.

Basketball visits Keyano on the same days at the same times.

Ski Meeting

The Spring Lake Ski Hill Association will host its annual general meeting Sunday.

It will start at 2 p.m. at the hill.

Organizers say they have expansion plans to talk about.

The hill is also looking for volunteers and sponsors.
