Storm win first of two home games versus Devon

The Storm beat visiting Devon 6-4 at home Wednesday night.

Grande Prairie had a 5-2 lead early in the third before the Xtreme scored two goals to make it 5-4. The Storm got an empty netter in the final minute.

Brandon de Haas had two goals for the Storm, Will Harris had a goal and an assist, Owen Hutzel had two helpers, and Treysen Miller scored his first AJHL goal.

Attendance was announced at 780 fans.

The Storm and Xtreme meet again tonight (Thursday, October 30).

Face-off at 7 p.m. at the Bonnetts Energy Centre.

This will be the Halloween Celebration game. There will be trick-or-treating and a costume contest.

NWJHL

In the Northwest Junior Hockey League Wednesday night, Dawson Creek beat visiting Peace River 3-2.

The schedule resumes Friday with the County Wheat Kings in Sexsmith and Fort St. John in Fairview.

Both games will start at 8 p.m.
