Halloween safety tips for a “fang-tastic” night
Halloween is upon us.
With the spooky season falling on a Friday this year, it’s even more important that people are being safe.
According to Insuranceopedia, kids are twice as likely to be struck by a car on Halloween compared to a regular day, so residents are encouraged to follow tips provided by the RCMP. Those include wearing bright colours or costumes, carrying flashlights, and always staying on sidewalks.
For adults, either staying home or going out, Mounties ask you to keep pets indoors, inspect your children’s candy and do not operate a vehicle if impaired, as Insurancopedia’s findings say nearly half of all fatal accidents on Halloween involve alcohol.
