Two arrests in arson, shots fired investigation in Fort St. John

RCMP have arrested two people after an arson and shots fired incident Halloween morning in Fort St. John.

Mounties say they got a report just before 6 a.m. on October 31 from a nightclub near 100 Avenue and 103 Street about a suspicious fire that had been put out by firefighters.

Police say an investigation by Forensic Identification Services found evidence related to both arson and shots being fired at the building.

There were no injuries, and police believe this was an isolated incident.

Two people were later arrested at a home in Taylor. and are being held in custody while the investigation continues and the arrest site is searched.
