Nov 4, 2025 | 2:09 PM

The Grande Prairie Regional Tourism Association will hold a summit designed to promote regional investment opportunities later this month.

The 2025 Northern Alberta Tourism Summit will feature a lineup of regional, provincial and national speakers to educate, connect and inspire tourism stakeholders to seize the growing opportunities in the regional tourism sector.

Keynote addresses will be provided by Gemini Award-winning actor and comedian Shaun Majumder and Travel Alberta’s Vice President of Experience and Commercial Development Kevin Weidlich.

The program will also include micro and immersive group activities designed to empower participants with tools to strengthen their tourism offerings and enhance visitor experiences.

“With new provincial supports for destination development taking shape and strengthened collaboration across the sector, tourism is becoming a promising economic driver for our region,” says GPRTA Executive Director Jasmin Greavett. “This Summit is about helping our operators and partners see what’s possible and connecting them with the knowledge and inspiration they need to grow sustainably”

The summit kicks off Monday, Nov. 17, at the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum, followed by a day of presentations at the Delta Hotel on Nov. 18.
