Shots fired incident reported at Simon Lake November 8

Peace River Regional RCMP say there is no ongoing risk to the public following reports of shots fired in Simon Lake Saturday, November 8.

Just after 10:00 a.m., Mounties received a report of shots fired and located two victims.

The victims were taken to hospital by EMS and are expected to recover.

Alberta RCMP has deployed the Western Alberta District General Investigations Section to take carriage of the investigation, and Mounties believe the victims were injured as part of a localized incident and there is no ongoing risk.
