Hintz caps Stars’ comeback with overtime goal in 3-2 win over Senators
OTTAWA — The Dallas Stars scored three unanswered goals culminating with Roope Hintz scoring at 3:04 of overtime to beat the Ottawa Senators 3-2 Tuesday night.
Linus Ullmark made a couple big saves but Hintz was able to pick up a rebound and roof it for the come-from-behind victory.
The Stars outshot the Senators 17-6 in the third and tied the game to force overtime.
Trailing 2-1, the Stars (10-4-3) came out pressing in the third and were rewarded on the power play when Jason Robertson managed to beat Ullmark glove side. Ullmark finished the game with 31 saves.
