Nov 14, 2025 | 2:48 PM

Storm:

The Grande Prairie Storm had the week off but will be back in action tomorrow night in Bonnyville with a puck drop set for 7 p.m.

They will then take on the Bobcats in Lloydminster to wrap up their six-game road swing on Sunday; the Storm haven’t shared if newly acquired goalie Hudson Perry would be suiting up for this weekend, after he was traded back to his hometown team on Thursday, Nov. 13.

Next week, they will play their only home game in November, as they face off with the Canmore Eagles.

NWJHL:

In the Northwest Junior Hockey League action this weekend, it started off early as the Sexsmith Vipers and Dawson Creek Kodiaks took part in a 12:00 p.m. matinee, which saw Dawson Creek take a 4-3 overtime win.

Tonight, the Wheat Kings visit the Blades in Beaverlodge and the Huskies host Fairview, both at 8 p.m.

Saturday, two games will start at 8 p.m. The Kodiaks take on the Blades, and the North Peace Nav’s host Fairview.

On Sunday, the Navigators will be back in action, as they face the Huskies at 4:30 p.m.

Football:

Provincial Bantam Tier 1 9-a-side football provincials will visit Grande Prairie on Saturday.

The Grande Prairie Norsemen advanced to the division finals last weekend with a 62-14 win over Beaumont.

They will now take on the St. Paul Bengals to decide the provincial football champion at the Hansen Lincoln Field, starting at noon.

This provincial final had the chance of being an all Mighty Peace contest, however, the Sexsmith Shamrocks fell to the Bengals 40-13.

Wolves:

NWP Basketball is home to the Olds College Broncos this weekend, with tip-off set for 6 p.m. for Women’s and 8 p.m. for Men’s, both tonight and tomorrow.
