Nov 14, 2025 | 7:00 AM

The Grande Prairie Storm have brought in another local netminder.

The Storm acquired the rights to Sexsmith’s Hudson Perry from the Drayton Valley Thunder in exchange for ’06 forward Max Algajer. Additionally, the Storm sent GP-born goalie Keagin Kelln to the Northern Manitoba Blizzard of the MJHL for a player development fee.

During their time with the Storm; Algajer recorded 29 points, including 10 goals in 51 games last season, and already has eight points this year. Kelln had 21 starts last season for the Storm, including a playoff win, and has started 6 this season.

In a release, the organization wished both Kelln and Algajer the best with their new teams, adding that they look forward to seeing Perry in a Storm jersey.

Perry played on the Grande Peace U18 AAA Storm during the 2023-2024 season, before signing with the Edmonton Oil Kings, where he suited up for 21 games over two years (2023-2025), finishing with a 4-11-3 record, and was traded to the Brandon Wheat Kings mid-season.

Over the past two seasons, Perry was up and down between the WHL and AJHL, where he played with the Drayton Valley Thunder, appearing in 19 games with an 8-9-2 record.

Perry now joins a slew of recent additions to come from Grande Peace Athletic Club, including: Max Fogle, Rhogan Walker, former-tender Keagin Kelln, Head Coach Chris Schmidt, and others.
