Peace Regional RCMP search for vehicle theft suspects

Nov 17, 2025 | 12:50 PM

Peace Regional RCMP are asking for the public’s help identifying a pair of suspects involved in a vehicle theft earlier this month.

Mounties say they were called to an oil site in Northern Sunrise County on Nov. 5, and obtained surveillance footage of a black or dark grey small hatchback entering the site dropping off a suspect who steals a parked truck, and the pair flee together.

Mounties add, “as the suspect gets into the truck, the suspect vehicle drives away with the rear door still open.”

RCMP say the truck was recovered “in relation to another incident,” but the investigation remains ongoing.

According to officers, the suspect who stole the truck was seen last wearing a grey or green toque, a yellow sweater, a purple bandana over their face, a hunting-style jacket, and dark pants.

A description of the driver of the suspect vehicle was not provided, but it was noted that the black or dark grey small hatchback had a missing bumper.
