Wanted man in RCMP custody after vehicle and foot chase

Nov 17, 2025 | 1:22 PM

A 21-year-old Cadotte Lake resident is in RCMP custody after being arrested on outstanding warrants.

Chaos James Daryl Ghostkeeper, is due in court Nov. 17, 2025.

On Nov. 13, while on patrol, Mounties say officers saw a vehicle associated with Ghostkeeper; noting the vehicle began driving erratically before being abandoned altogether and the driver fleeing into the forest.

RCMP Dog services were then called and tracked the suspect “some distance into the forest” before making an arrest.

On top of pre-existing warrants, seven charges were laid:

  • Flight from a police officer
  • Resisting arrest
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited firearm not registered
  • Possession of a sawed-off shotgun
  • Possession of a firearm with no PAL/RPAL
  • Possession of a prohibited firearm
  • Operating a motor vehicle with a firearm

Ghostkeeper is due in Peace River court Nov. 17, for charges stemming from his recent arrest, as well as seven warrants:

  • Flight from a police officer
  • Driving at an unreasonable speed
  • Failure to signal
  • Failure to obey traffic control device
  • Fail to have two headlights
  • Driving without a licence
  • Driving uninsured

RCMP thank Police Dog Services, saying they were “imperative” to the search.
