Peace Regional RCMP share general stats for October 2025

Peace Regional RCMP are sharing their general stats for police incidents in October.

Of the top three incidents reported by Mounties in October 2025, 129 were related to dangerous driving, failure to stop at collisions and other vehicle related-incidents, 65 were mischief incidents, and 55 were incidents involving theft over or under $5000.

According to RCMP, theft incidents increased in October 2025, compared to the same time in 2024, while break and enters, thefts of motor vehicles and impaired operation calls were all lower compared to October 2024.

Mounties say they issued approximately 179 violation tickets in October for driving incidents, with the most being for speeding, driving without registration, and driving with tinted front windshields.

  1. 129 files related to dangerous driving, failure to stop at collisions, and other vehicle related files
  2. 65 files for mischief
  3. 55 files for theft over/under $5000, theft of motor vehicles and possession of property obtained by crime
  4. 50 files for abandoned or suspicious vehicles, persons or property
  5. 41 files for collisions
  6. 37 files for assisting the general public or assisting other organizations such as Fire/EMS/CFSA
  7. 29 files for wellbeing checks
  8. 26 files for 911 abandoned calls and false alarms
  9. 21 files for failure to attend court or failure to comply with conditions
  10. 18 files for break and enter to businesses and residences

Peace Regional RCMP members along with Peace Regional Traffic Services members, gave out approximately 179 violation tickets in October, and 23 warnings.

Top violation ticket types were:

  1. Exceed maximum speed limit established
  2. Operating a motor vehicle without registration
  3. Window tint for front drivers/passenger windows, brows, or lower frit
  4. Driver not wearing seatbelt
  5. Driver distracted by cell phone
  6. Drive with plate not clearly visible (plate coverings)
  7. Driving uninsured
  8. Driving while suspended
  9. Driving without a drivers license
  10. Failing to obey traffic control device
