Grande Prairie Farmers’ Market moving to Tara Centre following weekend fire

Nov 24, 2025 | 3:46 PM

A new temporary location has been found for the Grande Prairie Farmers’ Market after the fire that took place Nov. 21

The vendors that previously worked out of the main market building will now be able to sell their wares at the Tara Centre in Evergreen Park.

In a statement, Mayor Jackie Clayton says the market’s loss is deeply felt.

“For many of us, this building has been more than a commercial space,” Clayton says. “It has been a place to see familiar faces, discover new local makers, and share in traditions that connect our community.”

The Grande Prairie Farmers Market Society has launched a gofundme campaign to offset immediate costs while adjusting to their new situation.

No word on the cause of the fire has been given at this time.
