P.A.C.E Centre to receive provincial dollars for family violence prevention

Nov 26, 2025 | 12:21 PM

In a recent funding announcement from the Alberta government, Grande Prairie’s P.A.C.E (Community Support, Sexual Assault and Trauma Centre) is one of 26 community-based agencies set to split $6 million.

The money is coming from the Taking Action on Family Violence grant program.

These funds are to be used to prevent violence before it occurs, intervene at early signs of violence, and help survivors and their families rebuild their lives and live safely in their communities.

P.A.C.E.’s portion of funds will be used to provide assistance, counseling, and education to survivors of sexual assault in Grande Prairie and area.

P.A.C.E helps all survivors of sexual violence through their trauma centre, and community support groups and events.
