Shaftesbury Ferry closing for season at sundown Nov. 27

The ferry connecting the Municipal District of Peace and Birch Hills County will be closing Thursday, Nov. 27.

Today is the last day to be able to ride Shaftesbury Ferry, and the free transportation will be closed for the season as of sundown tonight due to cold temperatures.

Operated by LaPrairie Group, the Shaftesbury Ferry is one of only seven free-floating ferries operating in Alberta.
