Storm, NWJHL, NPHL, Para Cup, Wolves volleyball and basketball this weekend

Storm

The Storm visits Drayton Valley for two games this weekend.

Game times will be 7 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday.

The Storm are in fifth place in the North Division with 21 points, three back of Bonnyville and four up on Devon.

The Thunder are fifth in the South Division with 16 points, the same total as Olds but with three games in hand.

NWJHL

There are four games in the Northwest Junior Hockey League on Friday.

Sexsmith will be in Beaverlodge, La Crete visits the Wheat Kings, Dawson Creek in Fairview and Peace River in Fort St. John.

All those games start at 8 p.m.

Sunday, Beaverlodge at the Wheat Kings, Peace River in Sexsmith and La Crete in Fort St. John all start at 2 p.m.

NPHL

In the North Peace Hockey League on Friday, Dawson Creek visits Grande Prairie, Spirit River in Manning and Falher in High Prairie.

On Saturday, Fort St. John travels to Spirit River, Fox Creek in Falher and Manning at Dawson Creek.

All games start at 8:30.

Hockey Canada

Dawson Creek will host Hockey Canada’s Para Cup Nov. 30-Dec. 6.

Canada plays China at 2 p.m. on Nov. 30, then Czechia at 11 a.m. Dec. 1 and the US Dec. 3 at 7 p.m.

Wolves

The Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves volleyball teams will host Medicine Hat College on Friday and Briercrest College on Saturday.

Game times will be 6 and 8 p.m. both nights, starting with the women’s game.

The Wolves basketball teams will visit Medicine Hat College at 6 and 8 p.m. Friday and Briercrest College at 5 and 7 p.m. Saturday.
