International Day of Persons with Disabilities event set for Wednesday

Teresa Sargent Hall at the Montrose Cultural Centre will host the annual event for International Day for Persons with Disabilities on Wednesday.

Organizers say there will be a Community Showcase that will feature Inclusive Community Organizations and celebrate people from the community.

There will also be all-ages programming at the Grande Prairie Public Library, exhibit viewing and activities at the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie, family-friendly games and the presentation of the Inclusive Community Award. This is for people and groups that support people with disabilities.

The day will start at 11 a.m. with the awards presentation at 12:30.
