VIDEO: Christmas Tree Light-Up held in downtown Grande Prairie

The city and the Downtown Association held the Christmas Tree Light-Up in downtown Grande Prairie on Sunday afternoon.

Santa joined Mayor Jackie Clayton in flipping the switch. A choir sang some Christmas songs before the lighting. Hot chocolate and cookies were also given out.

The Battle of the Badges charity hockey game between the Grande Prairie Fire Department and local law enforcement followed the ceremony.

The tree is located on the east side of the Bonnetts Energy Centre in HA Rice Plaza.
