Free transit for GPAT riders to Northern Spirit Light Show

The first two free trips to see the lights at the Northern Spirit Light Show in Evergreen Park are this coming Saturday and Sunday evening (Dec. 6 & 7).

These free rides are for registered Grande Prairie Accessible Transit riders.

The trips begin at 6 p.m., with each outing including a drive through the Northern Spirit Light Show displays, which will be followed by a tour around Grande Prairie to see the most decked-out holiday spirit homes.

Bookings can be made by calling GPAT dispatch at 780-830-7433.

There will also be free trips available for GPAT users on Dec. 13, 14, 20, and 21.

The light show is open Thursday through Sunday. Wagon rides go from 6-9 p.m., while vehicles can travel through the show from 6-10 p.m.

The cost is $5 per person for a wagon ride or $15 per vehicle. Kids 10 and under get in free.

The Northern Spirit Light Show, put on by the Peace Draft Horse Club, is open every night from 6-10 p,m. from Thursday, December 4, through New Year’s Eve, except for Christmas Day..
