Grande Prairie Police Service to be the first in Canada to use new record-keeping system
The transition towards the Grande Prairie Police Service took an important step ahead at the most recent council meeting.
Council approved moving just over $643,000 to the police operating budget to complete the purchase of a new Record Management System.
Police Commission chair Dan Wong explains the importance of this system.
“The Record Management System is the system that keeps track of all the police investigations and the evidence and all of that. so they need that system in order to become police of jurisdiction for October of 2026.”
