Boil Water Advisory in effect for Town of Spirit River

The Town of Spirit River has issued a boil water advisory due to a water main break on the main line for the Water Treatment Plant.

As of 8:49 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, all residents need to bring water to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute before consuming the water or using it to prepare food.

Officials say unboiled water may be used for bathing, showering, and washing clothes but should not be consumed.

The advisory will remain in effect until the repairs are completed and water quality testing confirms the system is safe.
