Storm notch home shutout win over Pontiacs

Dec 6, 2025 | 12:48 PM

The Storm beat visiting Bonnyville 2-0 Friday night in the annual Teddy Bear Toss game.

Leland Gill made 19 saves for the shutout. Zachary Wilson and Max Fogle scored the Grande Prairie goals. Wilson also recorded an assist.

The announced attendance was 1,619.

With the win, Grande Prairie moves into fourth place in the AJHL North Division standings with 27 points, the same total as the Pontiacs, but with a game in hand.

The Storm now have a five game win streak.

UPDATE: The Grande Prairie Storm game this Wednesday against the Llyodminster Bobcats has been cancelled.

The team says in a social media post that the new date will be confirmed soon.

This does not affect Friday and Saturday’s doubleheader with the Bobcats at Bonnetts Energy Centre.
