Parking Ban on Priority 1 and 2 routes now in effect

Dec 8, 2025 | 12:28 PM

Parking bans are now in effect in Grande Prairie.

Priority Roads Parking Bans

The parking ban restricts vehicles from parking on Priority 1 and 2 roads from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday through the winter months.

The city says these restrictions are in effect to ensure safe, timely, and effective operations for snow removal and transit, as well as for emergency services.

For snow removal, Priority 1 routes were cleared over the weekend and city crews are now focusing on Priority 2 roads.

Residential Temporary Parking Bans

Temporary residential parking bans are in effect for certain neighbourhoods as the city clears snow.

The neighbourhoods of Hillside, Montrose, VLA, and Mountview are being cleared Monday, Dec. 8.

No parking is allowed on streets that are getting snow removal from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The neighbourhoods of Patterson and South Patterson will get snow removed from their streets on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
