Save Fairview Campus collects over 4,000 signatures
Over four-thousand signatures have been collected on a petition to keep the Northwestern Polytechnic campus in Fairview open.
The Save Fairview Campus movement physically collected 4,169 signatures for their petition in exactly two weeks.
The petition will be in the legislature this week requesting the Legislative Assembly urge the provincial government to impose a moratorium on the removal of assets, programs and staff at the campus, undertake a public review of the campus, and affirm its commitment to the sustainability of post-secondary education in rural northern Alberta.
The movement is thanking the local businesses, chambers and municipalities that hosted them, and participants that knocked on doors and collected signatures for the petition.
