Dec 12, 2025 | 2:22 PM

A $15,000 cheque was presented to the City of Grande Prairie Thursday, Dec. 11, to complete an energy audit at the Dave Barr Community Centre.

Mayor Jackie Clayton and several members of city council attended the arena to receive the cheque from ATCO.

ATCO’s Don McNab says Grande Prairie is one of the recipients for ATCO’s third annual Community Energy Fund.

The funding will help provide a detailed, third-party assessment of how the facility uses energy, where waste may be occurring, and what improvement could reduce costs, improve performance and lower environmental impacts.

McNab says ATCO is happy to support local energy projects like the audit through their annual fund.
