Ongoing investigation leads to arrests in Nampa

Dec 12, 2025 | 2:37 PM

Peace Regional RCMP have two suspects in custody, thanks to a community report regarding a suspicious vehicle.

On Dec. 2, Mounties responded to that report and located a vehicle with steel pipes in the box, near Township Rd. 822 in Nampa.

According to police, two suspects were then located in possession of a pair of stolen vehicles and were found to be violating a release order.

Fourty-eight-year-old Carlamae Evelyn Underwood and 50-year-old Richard James William Frey, both of Nampa, each had a combined 12 charges laid.

Underwood: two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, and two counts of failure to comply with her release order conditions.

Frey: two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, resisting arrest, two counts of failure to comply with a release order condition, and operating a motor vehicle while prohibited from doing so.

At this time, this investigation remains ongoing, and Peace Regional RCMP would like to thank the public for their help so far.

They add that anyone with information regarding this investigation or knowledge of the “location of, or sightings of suspicious activity in the area,” should contact the detachment at 780-624-6611 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8377 (TIPS).
