City hosting session on education Wednesday

The city is hosting a session on education Wednesday night (Dec. 17).

The city says in a release that it is inviting people to its Pathways to Education Community Learning Session.

It starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Northwestern Polytechnic and is free to attend.

City Hall says in a release that the session will look at “local education, funding and skills development resources.”

NWP officials will be there to talk about programs and requirements to be admitted.

The Grande Prairie Council for Lifelong Learning will talk to attendees about English language learning; the Northwest Alberta Foundation will be there to discuss awards and scholarships, and Service Canada will be there with information on grants and Registered Education Savings Plans.
