A cold warning is out for the City and County of Grande Prairie and the MD of Greenview.
Environment Canada and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says the wind chill could reach -40 degrees Celsius overnight Friday into Saturday.
The wind chill is expected to be around -29 by Saturday afternoon.
