Father Christmas visiting GPRH

After making his list and checking it twice, Santa Claus has one task to complete before his big night.

Santa will be flying in on a STARS helicopter to visit kids in the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital’s Pediatric wing and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on Monday, Dec. 22, spreading some holiday cheer with some Christmas presents.

STARS wanted to clarify that if it seems odd, jolly ole St. Nick wouldn’t pilot himself, that’s cause his reindeer require rest before their big flight in a few days.

However, even without his reindeer, “Santa knows how important the fine people in Grande Prairie are, so he just can’t break this cherished holiday tradition.”

This is now the 16th year Santa has visited GPRH, and STARS says helping him get to and from the hospital is a way of saying thank you to the community, who support them year-round.
