Parking restrictions for snow clearing still in effect on New Year’s Day

The City of Grande Prairie is reminding residents that while New Year’s Day may be a holiday for most, snow ploughing operations will continue as scheduled.

On Thursday, January 1, City crews will be working in Kensington, Mission Heights, O’Brien Lake, and Stone Ridge neighbourhoods.

Impacted residents are asked to ensure their vehicles are off residential roadways between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to support effective snow clearing.

The City says streets with too many parked vehicles may not be fully cleared.

They are also reminding residents that parking is not permitted at any time on streets where windrows are present.
