Grande Prairie breaks second record daily high in less then a week

With this current warm spell, Mother Nature broke the daily maximum temperature record again today (Tuesday, Jan 13), according to Canada Weather Stats.

Last Saturday (Jan. 10), the City saw a new record maximum temperature with a high of 7.3 degrees, which was coupled with 3.8 millimetres of rain, which was also a new record.

Now today, Mother Nature surpassed the daily temperature high record again, recording a high of 7.3 degrees according to Environment Canada as of 3 p.m., surpassing 1949’s record of 6.7 degrees.

Residents may see more daily record highs surpassed this week, as forecasted temperatures for the remainder of the week sit above zero.
