Grande Prairie Storm Defencemen Connor Frost is being recognized as Defensive Player of the Week for his play over the Storm’s three-game homestand against Fort McMurray.

Frost had five points, including a goal, in their three outings and now heads into this weekend’s back-to-back with Drumheller on a four-game point streak.

Last weekend was a crucial stint for the Storm, as with those three wins, they jumped from fourth to third in the North division standings with 43, and are now only one point back of the MOB for the second-place spot.

Even with Frost’s offensive burst, the Storm remain defensively solid, holding the fourth-lowest goals against total in the league (108 GA).

The Storm will now host Drumheller this weekend at Bonnett’s on Saturday, Jan 17. and Sunday, Jan. 18; which continues to lead the league in attendance, despite having the lowest amount of home games so far.

Bonnett’s Energy see an average of 1,483 Storm fans a night, with a total of 22,245 already this year.
