Ice control and snow removal operations in City of Grande Prairie this week

The City of Grande Prairie says it will be focusing on ice control and snow clearing this week (Jan. 19-23).

The work will include sanding crews addressing slippery sections of road. Also, windrows will be removed, and snow will be hauled from cul-de-sacs and other snow storage areas as well.

Back lane clearing will also be a priority, along with flood control work like steaming catch basins to manage water pooling as temperatures fluctuate.

Parking bans remain in effect on permanent snow routes and Priority 1 and 2 routes.
