Fairview Health Complex ED measles exposure

Residents who attended the Fairview Health Complex Emergency Department last Wednesday (Jan. 14) may have been exposed to measles.

According to AHS, an individual with measles was at the Fairview ED from 10:25 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Now, anyone who attended the ED during the exposure period and develops measles symptoms is asked to stay home and call the hotline at 1-844-944-3434.

Symptoms include:

  • Fever of 38.3° C or higher
  • Cough, runny nose and/or red eyes
  • A rash that appears three to seven days after fever starts
