Scotties Tournament of Hearts starts Friday

The first draw at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts will start today at 5 p.m. Alberta time in Mississauga, Ontario.

The opening set of games will see Kerri Einarson’s Team Canada play Yukon. Einarson’s rink is Team Canada because two-time defending champion Rachel Homan will represent Canada at the Olympics next month.

Kayla Skrlik’s team will be there as one of the pre-qualified teams. Team Skrlik will play Northern Ontario in Draw 2, set for Saturday afternoon at noon Alberta time.

Selena Sturmay’s Alberta champions will also play their first game in Draw 2 against Prince Edward Island.

The champion will be decided on February 1.
