Storm split weekend series with Camrose

Feb 2, 2026 | 12:25 PM

The Grande Prairie Storm split their home series with the Camrose Kodiaks this past weekend.

Friday night’s match-up (Jan. 30) treated fans to some free hockey as overtime and then a shootout were required to crown a winner, as the Kodiaks took that game 4-3.

The next night (Saturday, Jan. 31), the Storm came out with vengeance, scoring three unanswered, as they coasted to a 6-2 win.

They still remain second in the north behind Whitecourt after this weekend, with only five games left in the regular season; which will include a two-game series with Whitecourt to end the season, potentially deciding first place in the division and the entire AJHL.

The Storm will now head to Devon on Wednesday, Feb. 4 to play the north’s last-place Extreme, before returning to GP this weekend for a back-to-back with the Calgary Canucks, who sit in the middle of the pack, in the AJHL’s south division.
