Indigenous Health Engagement session taking place in High Prairie Feb. 6
Alberta based health and wellness Catholic organization Covenant is holding an Indigenous health engagement session in High Prairie Thursday Feb. 5.
All Indigenous community members and partners are encouraged to attend and explore ways to improve culturally safe health care.
The session is part of Covenant’s ongoing commitments to Truth and Reconciliation and is meant to foster meaningful dialogue and relationship-building with Metis communities.
“We want to provide a safe space for the community to share their unique experiences and perspectives to help inform and build Covenant’s Indigenous health strategy,” says Adam North Peigan, Lead, Indigenous Health Development and Community Engagement. “We are eager to respectfully listen and learn and we are deeply grateful to the Métis Settlements for welcoming us. We look forward to walking this path together.”
