Short-lived regular meeting for County Council
County of Grande Prairie Council held a brief version of it’s regular Council meeting on Monday, Feb. 9.
Only three items were brought to the chambers with the highlight being Council approving $1.6 million for the La Glace Recreation Centre through Policy C40 – Divisional Equitable Fiscal Allocation.
Through this policy Council can “allocate up to $1.6 million every four years in each of the nine divisions to fund capital projects for infrastructure and County owned or supported recreation infrastructure.”
The other two items saw Council direct administration to make changes to the job description for a vacant position, Asset Management Advisor, and the approval of a $2,500, gold level sponsorship request from the Peace Regional 4-H club.
